2nd Annual Swing for CHAC Golf Tournament & Dinner
It is with great enthusiasm that we invite you to tee off with the Bowen Island Arts Council's 2nd Annual Swing for CHAC (Community Hall and Arts Centre) Golf Tournament.

Be a part of this exciting event to realize the community's dream of building a Community Hall and Arts Centre on Bowen Island.

On Saturday June 23rd 2007, you and your fellow golfers will be treated to an afternoon of golf (9 holes) on Bowen Island's critically acclaimed nine-hole golf course.

The evening includes a Picnic by the Sea, drinks, entertainment and auction in the delightful setting of Crippen Park.

The Bowen Art Council's fundraising Golf Tournament & Gala Dinner is one of many capital raising initiatives to raise $2 million to bring to fruition the realization of our dream.

The hilarious David Cameron will MC the evening, while the irrepressible Graham Ritchie will auction off a delectable selection of items. Groove to the soon-to-be-released sure-to-be-a-hit new cd, Bowen Eclectic, featuring home grown talent. Presentation of prizes, silent and live auction action.

Travelling to Bowen

  • If coming from the mainland, we recommend you board the 12:00 noon sailing of the Queen of Capilano. Sailing time is 20 minutes.

NOTE 1: This is the last ferry of the morning. The next ferry is timed for 2.30pm and will not get you to Bowen Island in time for tee-off.

NOTE 2: There may be heavy line-ups to board the ferry. We suggest you arrive at least 45 mins prior to sailing to ensure boarding.

Tax receipts
Applying the Canada Revenue Agency rules, Bowen Island Arts Council (charitable # 14105 0989 RR0001) will issue tax receipts under the following conditions:

Individuals only

  • Golfer: $35 of the total golfer fee of $99 qualifies for a tax receipt
  • Hole Sponsor - 100% of the hole sponsorship fee of $250 qualifies for a tax receipt
  • Cash Donation - 100% of the cash donation qualifies for a tax receipt

Corporations only

  • All Cash Donations and Hole Sponsorships made by corporations are encouraged to be written-off as a business expense and thus do not qualify for a tax receipt.

Individuals & Corporations

  • Prizes donated by individuals and corporations do not qualify for a tax receipt.
