 | Sunday, November 25, 2012 SVETLANA PONOMARĖVA, pianist Svetlana Ponomarėva was born in Omsk, Russia. She was accepted into the prestigious Gnesins Russian Academy of Music in Moscow where she earned graduate and postgraduate honours. Svetlana was the featured soloist in Rachmaninov's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 for the celebration of Shebalin Music College's 90th anniversary in May 2010. Another special musical moment came with Svetlana's 2003 performance of Schnittke's Concerto for Piano & Strings in Omsk. Svetlana performed her Carnegie Hall debut recital on October 7, 2004 in Weill Recital Hall. |

 | Sunday, April 7, 2013 MICHAEL JONES, cellist British born cellist Michael Jones studied at Dartington College before going on to the Royal College of Music. While in London he won prizes for solo and chamber music appearances, performing for the British Royal Family. While a student in Germany he became solo cellist for the German Chamber Academy, playing concerts around the world and in major music festivals such as Salzburg, Lockenhaus and Kuhmo. |
