Bowen Island Museum and Archives Visitors are invited to drop by the community museum and the old-fashioned loggers cottage. Enjoy the current exhibits, watch the "Bowen in the Fifties" video, try the old fashioned typewriter and look through the stereoscope. Researchers are welcome to use the archives. Our collection includes historical photographs, Bowen newspapers, a biographical database and archived material from local organizations. The Historians operate the museum and archives with funds raised by the annual People, Plants and Places Tour, memberships, donations and bequests. Volunteers are active in all aspects of the museum, archives and events. We welcome new members and volunteers. Please call 604-947-2655 or email or visit: www.bowenhistory.ca for more information. |
