![]() The arts council is excited to introduce our new summer staff, Mia Watkins. Mia has just graduated from West Vancouver Secondary School. Among her many achievements, she is a talented artist whose work is now on display at Arts Pacific Gallery. Mia was the recipient of the Danielle Dulong Memorial Scholarship. She also was recognized for Outstanding Achievement in Art at WVSS and her work was selected to show in the 2009 Grad Show at the Ferry Building Gallery in West Vancouver.
Mia has taken on the role of assisting the Gallery Coordinator/Curator and Executive Director in a variety of tasks throughout the summer months. She will be attending the University of Victoria’s visual arts department in September. We hope you drop by and give a warm welcome to Mia. If you are staging an arts and cultural event and wish to be in our listing, please let us know. We'd be happy to include it in the weekly update, which is sent out to members of the Bowen Island Arts Council. Send details to Jacqueline.
