Travelling to Bowen
If coming from the mainland, we recommend you park your car in Horseshoe Bay and sail as a foot passenger on the Queen of Capilano over to Bowen Island or take the Granville Island water taxi from Granville Island to Snug Cove.
Drive or take a bus to the ferry terminal in Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. From the terminal, the ferry to Snug Cove leaves almost every hour, and the trip takes approximately 20 minutes. No reservations are necessary, but experienced commuters try to be 20-30 minutes early at the ferry terminal during the busy morning and evening runs. Ticket sales end 5 minutes before the scheduled sailing time for vehicles, and 10 minutes before for walk-on passengers, so give yourself enough time to purchase a ticket.

English Bay Launch water taxi service runs from Granville Island to Snug Cove daily. Reservations are recommended. For a schedule and more info, visit their website at englishbaylaunch.ca.
A passenger-only water taxi provides late evening service to and from Bowen Island. Its schedule is as follows:
Depart Snug Cove
11:15 p.m. (Sunday-Thursday), 12:15 a.m. (Friday & Saturday)
Depart Horseshoe Bay
11:30 p.m. (Sunday-Thursday), 12:30 a.m. (Friday & Saturday)
Getting to Artisan Square
If walking off the ferry, hop a bus. Our local transit will be parked on the right as you leave the ferry terminal. It will take you directly to Artisan Square.
Catching a bus has never been easier as Bowen Transit routes operate a 'hail'n'ride' service on your Bowen services. If you want to get on a bus between identifiable bus stops, please find a place anywhere along the route where you can clearly be seen and the bus can stop safely. Please signal the driver as the bus approaches. If you would like to exit between stops tell the driver where you would like to disembark.

If driving: Drive up the main road, Government Road, from the ferry dock. Continue through Snug Cove Village, past the 4-corners, passing the Community School on the left, and within two minutes you'll see the signs indicating a left turn to Artisan Square. Look for the festival tents and main registration desk, at Sherlock Tomes!
Parking can be tight at Artisan Square, so that's why we recommend you leave your vehicle on the mainland. However, if you do drive over, as you enter the square, take the lower road as parking options may be slighter better along the street there.
